My name is Merissa and I am twenty-one years old. Over the past nine months or so, I have picked up a new hobby-photography. I LOVE IT! I love everything about it. I have had an interest in photography for the past few years, but I wasn't able to explore it until recently. My boyfriend bought me my first dslr camera (Canon Rebel XSI/450 D) for my twenty-first birthday. Thank you Noah!
As of right now, photography is only a hobby of mine. I have been learning a lot about photography. I have also been learning about editing and processing photos, which I also find enjoyable, but not as enjoyable as taking pictures with my camera. I am trying to explore the different categories of photography. I want to see I like best or what kind of photography I am best at. As of now I have no idea. Maybe once I find out, I can do something more with this hobby of mine. But if it remains simply a hobby, that is fine too. As long as I am able to do it and learn about I am happy! I think photography will be something I will love for the rest of my life!
I recently joined this photography group on facebook and on Saturday a bunch of photographers and models met up for a photo shoot. It was fun. This was the first one I went to one of these events and was my first time working with models. I think my shots came out okay for my first time. I would love to work with models again. Here are some shots of one of the models. I will post more later.
My boyfriend and I went hiking on Saturday in Forest Falls. It was nice and it was good exercise. I love being outside surrounded by nature.

I took some self portraits today wearing this green ninja turtle shirt that my boyfriend bought me. When I was younger, I used to watch the television show with my brother. We also used to play barbies and ninja turtles. He had the ninja turtle van and I had a small barbie house that we would set up next to each other. I think my doll was supposed to be the April O'Neal character from the movies.
